I can't believe it's that time of year again! Every September the cows come down from a summer of eating mountain grass and return to sea level for the winter. This weekend starts the cow descent parades. My favorite parade is Urnäsch which is Saturday morning. I was born and raised on a farm with cows and goats. Even though this is nothing like I grew up with, I still really love this event. There is a fun energy around welcoming the cows back down with pig races, alphorns, singing, crafts, and lots of yummy food. I'll link the @myswitzerland cow parade schedule in my profile.
